Call for volunteers: SALA seeks a representative for the National Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee

The members of the National Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee are intended to generally represent the CSLA Board of Directors, the landscape architecture academic community and the CSLA provincial, regional and territorial constituent associations.

The role of the National Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee is to:

  • address a plan for immediate priorities of the committee;
  • prepare a version of the Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan to circulate to the membership;
  • create a content strategy for all national and provincial publications. Ensure that content objectives are met at a national and provincial level;
  • provide an inclusive and collaborative space for open communications.

In addition to the responsibilities listed above, the SALA representative on the committee will be tasked with providing regular updates to Council through email communication and attending virtual Council meetings.

The committee has been meeting once a month, for one hour, by video conference. The members of the Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee are appointed for a two-year term, subject to renewal.
